Does anybody know if we're still allowed to park at South House Farm to visit Juniper Gulf, Nick Pot etc?

Thanks, Benfool; that's a shame, as I reckon that it's about 3.5 km +185 m from Crummackdale to JG and 2.5 km +90 m from South House!

Of course technically parking at Crummackdale involves driving along a bridleway to reach the 'usual' parking spot (if you aren't parking at the crossroads) which is why I don't park there...
You can park in the layby on the B6479 (Ribblehead to Horton road) opposite the road up to South House farm, adding a bit of distance and elevation (people should be careful not to block gates or prevent large vehicles for turning out of the South House farm road).

Because it's not a road or is it too rough for your vehicle?

In ancient times we used to drive all the way to Crummack Farm (it was fine) and change there. I don't think it being a BW was problematic as the occupants of the farm were OK with it. Permission for this was subsequently withdrawn. Since then I've driven to the junction with Thwaite Lane for climbing on Robin Proctor's but no further even though it's a public highway for some way beyond.
