Can anyone help me with this photograph, which is part of the Eric Hensler material? Does anyone recognise the location, or the people? It appears to be the entrance of a cave, and one of the gentlemen seems to be carrying a light. Two of them may be wearing exposure suits, and with the loads being carried by the two on the left, diving may have been involved. I suspect that it may be in Mendip.

I have almost what it looked like before they built the blockhouse. I remember turning up one day for a trip and there it was!

include photos of Ken Pearce in the late 40's. I attach some.

A cropped version of the photo has been previously published in CPC Record 67, and in Wessex CC Journal 281 - it is Swildon's Hole.

Thank you. I had just found the CPC Record 67 entry, and am in the process of updating the piece on Eric Hensler's 1934 Swildon's trip thread.
