Nice mate thanks for the update , I love places like this have been around similar coal mines in the f o d .

photo of some fresh movement where the “tell” had recently fallen out . Some times you can hear the coal cracking and popping is nothing to be alarmed of just is almost loosening and makes it flake at the working face .

If anyones interested I enjoyed the tour so much back in May that I decided to do some volunteering there.

A couple of weeks ago I was taken down on the old extended tour and I can see why they've had to put it on hold. Water has come up from the Silverdale connection and flooded the lowest part of the mine, they had to salvage what they could from the area and it's now covered in a layer of that ochrey mud. Loads of loose bits of wood and stuff has been washed down to the bottom like a giant plughole.
