Are the old songs the best?

Well, are the old songs the best? Maybe they are. This 52 year old cheerful ditty appeared after people spent a couple of weeks or so at a nice sporting event. Most people in the audience seemed to know it, which was nice. I wonder what other songs also have such popular longevity. As ever thoughts and comments welcome.
