Bad air / pollution / bad bolts / etc

Hello all,

Went into bottle pot on Saturday and on the bottom pitch as you rig the last Y hang, one of the plates was really loose. I've wrenched this up with a spanner but one I thought I'm better reporting

Thanks

Was in Eldon hole the other day and noticed the giant ring bolted to the wall that the rope passes through is starting to wear (photo)

Not enough to fail anytime soon. Isn’t very sharp but could be an issue as the rope naturally sits in the groove.

De-rigger yesterday said he noticed that the right hand P bolt on the top Y-hang of the east wall had a bit of give. He described it as it moved in and out by a couple of millimetres when he was moving about and derigging.

I didn’t notice it when I rigged, so I didn’t personally see it move. I’m not sure as to the significance of this, but I thought I’d point it out in case it’s something to be wary of.

Which cave? That info seems to have gone in the moderator move. Eldon Hole I suspect?
Can you email equipment@thedca.org.uk so it can be logged. Cheers.
