So, that raises more issues. Why are the pipes not flowing, where does the water go?
@LJR does that sound like you recall? Any thoughts?

Is the valve pipe in the dam currently flowing? Larryfatcats photo showed it flowing strongly. Sounds like a lot of a pain

The valve is flowing strongly and the dam is overflowing. It's holding back a bell of alot of water.
Houghton pipe is open again, took 15minutes to remove the loose material.
I've put a board across he entrance and covered it back up.

I can't for the life of me remember if we ever saw the iron pipe flowing. I tend to think not, otherwise we would not have needed to install the dam and pump etc.

It's in very good condition, it doesn't look like there is any new collapse in there, but judging by the amount of fill I removed from the entrance no one has been in for a few years.
