Please find attached a copy of the first ever BCA Annual Report!

This is a brand new BCA publication designed to communicate with our members all the fantastic activities BCA and its constituent parts were involved in during 2025.

It includes reports from the BCA exec, regional caving councils, constituent bodies, working groups, council positions plus guest features. There is so much good work going on underground around Britain and BCA want to celebrate it!

Get Involved: The report includes contact details for key volunteers who you can contact should you wish to get involved in cave conservation, cave rescue, cave science, mine history and loads more!

Please note all BCA member clubs and council members will receive a complimentary printed copy.

This is exactly the kind of annual report I want to see from our National Body.

This is well put-together and I can fully understand the amount of whip-cracking, nagging and editing that bringing this together has involved. It’s well presented, well populated with photos and content to show the work BCA and its various constituent groups are doing.

Well done Katie, and Rob too (I see you’ve been pulled into helping with the design).

It’s a fairly hefty read, but I’d encourage cavers to have a browse. I think this shows what a bargain £32/year for BCA membership is and what this money is supporting (beyond the insurance, which is all many people every think of). This includes the work of all regional councils.

The BCA seems to be going in a very good direction at the moment.

BCA are really keen to increase our members understanding of all the things BCA is involved in (not just the insurance!)
Although that is inevitably going to lead to quite a 'wordy' publication.

We are planning to feature some of the articles on their own on here, and other channels, to encourage those who might not read the whole thing to at least read bits of it.

Organised and practical I can do, but being artistic is not one of my strengths so I had to rope Rob in for the front cover, and some input on the overall design. Although the very bright colours differentiating the different sections were all me, Rob wanted to go a bit more pastel and tasteful.....

Council members are the people who are the representatives of ... (see below) ... (so currently the named people in the 3rd column)

They all have one vote each.

Currently we do not have any Directors.
