A new volume has been added to the British Speleological Association collection which covers the Northern Midland's Group's explorations in Peak Cavern, mainly between 1951 and 1960. It includes the drainage of Mucky Duck to make the far reaches more accessible, the continued exploration of Pickering's Passage and Wind Tunnel, and the surveying of the cave.

Almost all the material in this volume consists of trip reports and observations written by Les Salmon, and correspondence between Les Salmon and Eli Simpson, the Honorary Recorder of the BSA. Every trip recorded was led by Les Salmon.

As the natural successors to the NMG, the Technical Speleological Group were given custody of some of the BSA's Derbyshire material following the merger of the BSA and the Cave Research Group. We are grateful to them for allowing us to add this volume to the Online Archive, and to Wayne Sheldon for sorting the contents of the volume before making it available, and for checking the table of contents.

The bulk of the BSA collection, held by the British Caving Library, was catalogued by Dave Judson in 2008. This volume has been catalogued using the same system, allowing each sheet to be identified.

The volume, together with a list of its contents, may be found at the link below.
