Of course, you can always just use your caplamp, if its powerful enough. Photo Martin Farr

Ha Ha that's some " caplamp " Roy , is it one of yours ?

Many would call that a rather silly question!

16V, max output 9200 lumens, battery 270 grams, lamp about 240 grams. A lot of power in a small package
Developed about 3 years ago, but I have yet to sell one. Mind, I have just improved the specs re size and weight etc.

A while back I modified a few old bulb model Kowalski dive lamps, some for a friend who ran the Alston Training centre, and I believe one for Mr "Grout1" who comes on here sometimes, and also for another diver whos name escapes me. I charged about ?100 and the output was about 3,000 lumens on full. I could probably beat that now, could probably do 9K. It was all build on a copper insert with sort of  "ears" which upon insertion contacted the aluminium tube body.
I know some of the brand name dive lamps and even torches are silly money.
