Does anyone know the longitude and latitude of Sótano de las Golondrinas on the Yucatan peninsula?

Well, it's only an idea, but, if You can locate it on Google Earth, I think that that may give the Lat.'n Long. on its toolbar thingy ...........................................................................Let Me guess,You want the Lat'n'Long so You can look it up on Google Earth

From what I've seen on t'internet it's not located on the Yucatan peninsula but is to be found in the province of San Luis Potosí in the Sierra Madre Mountains in central Mexico.

No, but by comparing these two fantastic maps it looks like it's a few km east of Tanzazolo near Aquismon.
I had a look at the area in Google Maps, but the satellite resolution is poor in that area, and there's also a little cloud coverage.

If the resolution on Google Earth is poor for that part of the world then there's a slim chance of locating the entrance since it's only 180ft across.

Indeed; here's Xiaozhai Tiankeng in China, where Google's imagery is similarly poor in detail. It's a doline over 600m across, but is barely visible except by the shadow it casts within itself.

If you scroll the map and look a couple of kilometres to the southwest of the doline, you'll see a thin, dark shadow running roughly north-south - that's 'The Great Crack'.

Nope... I have a ten year anniversary coming up and the wife wants to go somewhere tropical... I figure that if I try hard enough I can bluff her into going to a caving region : ).

Have you all take a look at the Grand Canyon on Google Earth... it's quite impressive.

best I couldd come up with is 21degrees 37 mins by 99degrees 01 minutes which is approximately Aquismon where most cavers and base jumpers appear to stay when doing the cave..... So its got to be near there somewhere.
