Black Keld

I know Brian Judd's website is not online anymore ( a shame as it was an incredible exploration...huge  nerves of steel  dive accounts)  Someone was nice enough to point me to  some of the website content still online

Is there any video footage of Black Keld flowing or even more so....video in cave online?

Any chance there will be a newer version of a Darkness Beckons to include all the new discoveries??

Happy New year to all!!

Is this the site that you are already aware of?

Pages 73-75 in the following section of Mick Melvin's Happy Wanderers Cave & Pothole Club website give a simple summary of the state of exploration in Black Keld. (It was written late in 2016 but I think is still pretty much up to date.)

Indeed it is - the whole website is a fantastic resource. The HWCPC only ever produced one journal (in 1966) but it's a good 'un. But Mick Melvin's online resource is a great example of what can be done these days and is packed with detail.

Thank you so much  for the new information !!!-I gather no one knows of any resurgence video or underwater video of the system? I find the exploration fascinating for the  difficulty  factor-huge cajones needed!

I think Black Keld is one of the last bastions of pre-internet obscurity.

CDG members probably have other priorities on the rare occasions when visits are possible, although Brian Judd did take some (still) selfies in there as it was being explored. I'm not aware of any underground video work but if yiou look at the various documentary films / new features there's probably at least one surface clip of the resurgence itself.

Trogger: Thank you for the offer-I am in  Hamilton  Canada so posting might not be viable.I will ask Dr.Ford to see if he has anything in his archives.

It would be wonderful for the file to be put on  Youtube if property owners did not have  issue

Brian Judd inspired me to try to explore this resurgence here with Dr.David Sawatzky after seeing the success  they had in the very low vis

Mmm, tricky one that, even with our brilliant 'Caver Post'!  Haven't used YouTube or Dropbox etc. before and the video is 120 MB, so if anyone can suggest a simple way of getting it to Canada...
