Brands/Equipment UK Cavers Would Like Us to Stock

The wetsuits, ropes and fig8 devices that this Swiss guy makes really should be stocked for the UK market. They are amazing value for what they are, each element of the design is really well though through for canyoning specifically. The wetsuits have direct overlap with caving and are immensely superior to anything Warmbac makes. The ropes and fig8 style devices are mainly useful for canyoning but you simply cannot buy this gear in the UK right now and the available equipment is really not designed with technical alpine canyoning in mind. I cored two caving ropes in one canyon in Ticino this summer; in contrast when we used the ce4y ropes you just didn't worry about it, they are incredibly abrasion resistant. Caving descenders are completely inappropriate for aquatic canyoning and the piranha is just a poor substitute for the 'Axe-8' that ce4y make.

Vertical Skills were talking about stocking CE4Y at some point, not heard anything for a while though.

Camp do spare straps for the Turbofoot, which is a great lower cost alternative to replacing the whole thing when the strap just can't be patched up with my weak repair skills any longer. I suppose they could be used for other foot jammers too.

I picked up a couple from Croque Montagne in France this summer, would be good if they were available over here.

Wouldn’t be without my camp turbochest
Wouldn’t mind someone supplying a reliable hilti kit as mine is getting a bit tied

If you can find anyone to make them, and a lawyer who agrees it's not some form of intellectual property infringement, some stainless bobbins for petzl stops would be welcome. I also love my AV Fornocal trousers which I don't think you have for sale, I would also like the shorts variant which I can't find for sale in the UK (I run super hot so can often be found in a mine in my fornocals and a tshirt provided it's not too wet and draughty)
It has been pointed out that I muddled simples and stops. I'm after stainless bobbins for the new simple, not the stop

I've seen some people in the states milling new bobbins on a lathe. In stainless, aluminum and in titanium.
Not sure if they'd ever send any over though.

On a slightly more serious note than my previous post above, could I just say how pleasing it is that a specialised purveyor of our niche market equipment takes the trouble to ask the above question? Thanks Inglesport (especially for all the Aquasure!). ;)

We don't have many retailers of caving equipment but those we do have serve us well. I'm certainly grateful.

Hilti have commercial controls on who is allowed to re-sell their consumables. We use a lot of their fixings but are not allowed to re-sell through our trade counter. They like to direct all their sales through their branches, online accounts and account managers. The exception seems to be tool hire shops who are able to sell carts & nails for those hiring DX guns.

I can’t imagine Hilti would be on board with selling caps to cavers in any way at all.

Might stand more chance with hilti expansion anchors but they’re just too expensive compared to the alternatives available. TE-CX drill bits maybe, but they tend to last for ages and no volume.

That's odd because there's loads of people selling them on eBay.

Anyway, it might be worth having a small selection of digging gear. Maybe some scaffold clips, cheap but sturdy pulleys for hauling, capping rods and mats.
