Brands/Equipment UK Cavers Would Like Us to Stock

Apologies, I should have been more specific, less than 10mm.

I liked the 9.5mm Teufelberger platinum which is apparently discontinued. The Teufelberger 9mm Type A options seem to be American manufacture so I can't see that being cheap!

Are there any British rope manufacturers?

The only less than 10mm type A I know of is gleistein geostatic, but even at starless river’s reasonable prices is best part of 400 quid for a reel

Think they do Petzl club 10mm type A 🤷🏼‍♂️
Club? Boing boing.
Last time I let someone climb up my 10mm club was a German chap and colleague, he apparently ran some cave rescue team back home (I bumped into him while solo caving). After ascending the second pitch of bar pot (maybe 30m?) he told me off... that I should use proper caving rope not climbing rope. I told it was semi static and he just wouldn't believe me and gave me a disapproving look.

There are a couple but they don't do anything between 9mm and 10.5mm (and the 9mm ropes are type B).

First time I used it I thought the same. Then tried it again (a few years later, different batch) and it was fine, now use it regularly and don’t find it half as bouncy as I remember it that first time

We stock a 9.6mm type A Teufelberger rope at SpanSet and Inglesport are welcome to stock it.
If you keep an eye out on the UKC stand at Hidden Earth you may see some.

Now there's an offer....

In the meantime, if you are at Hidden Earth, Wardy himself will be around the Ukcaving stand and able to answer any questions.

Hi Josh, if you're at Hidden Earth, enter our competition and maybe win some Josh 😁

SUPER BLUE copy.jpg

Speedy stictcher, spare needles and thread (and/or sailmakers needles and thread)

Whatever glue is needed for every version of plastic equipment you sell

Basically stuff to make basic repairs
Seconded! Also cordura and PVC patches for oversuits would be great please :)

Warm gloves in smaller sizes (like size 6), the blue ones you sell are wonderful for summer caving but I really struggle to find warmer / thicker gloves for winter caving.
That's the main thing I can think of that comes to mind, I think you have everything else I might need for caving :) maybe thicker wetsocks too? I have the standard warmbac ones but find my feet still freeze off in them (even in summer) so some thicker wet socks would be great
Why wear one pair of wet socks when you could wear two pairs of wet socks!
