Bristol Coal Mining Archives Ltd

The following info came from a work mailing list from some at AG Geo-Consultants Ltd, I have no further details myself.
You would have thought the Coal Authority would be wanting to take this on......

Some of you may be aware of the sad news that "Bristol Coal Mining Archives Ltd" (BCMA) have now ceased trading (after 37yrs).

They hold an extensive and invaluable archive of the coal mining data covering the Bristol coal fields (far better than the Coal Authority records for such), for those of us undertaking coal mining risks assessments.

From chatting with Jenny Cornwell (BCMA Owner), they’re looking for a party to take over the archive, to continuously add to and improve it, and to continue to provide the industry with coal mining data for it’s development sites.

If anyone is interested, then please do contact them

If the Coal Authority won't take it, then possibly the National Coal Mining Museum at Wakefield might?
