Broken MYO

I have had a Petzl MYO RXP as a back-up light for many years, but have never needed to use it. When I DID need to use it, however, the blasted thing wouldn't work. If it's a broken contact, can any of you tell me how to open it up? (Yes, I know Monsieur Petzl tells me not to 'attempt to dismantle the lamp', but it ought to be fixable).

Is the older twist bezel type or the newer diffuser type?
Either way, make sure the battery is good then give it a squeeze on battery compartment and the torch to locate if it's a loose connection or wire.
Something similar happened to my old XP, it was the battery connections corroded up. Replace the torch then it started working again.

99% chance it’ll be a broken cable where it enters the torch body. Probably not worth attempting to repair, unless you’re into that sort of thing.

That was my first thought.

These were great lights for weight/output, but unfortunately they have a few weak points in the design.
