Buyer Beware - Buying Disto X310's on Ebay

I have just bought a Disto on Ebay, chose very carefully using the pictures to ensure the disto matched the model I currently had to ensure direct compatibility with an upgrade. however the item sent does not match the pictures. I was trying to by what I think is a second generation disto - knowing that if the body looked the same as the one I have now I should be ok. I have requested a return on the item, but have probably lost out on the import costs.

Buyer Beware and all that. but the below photo shows that they have not sent what was in the advert - as the laser warning labels are incorrect - so I assume I have been sent an incompatible Disto, but cannot be sure till I can get a friend to take a look. When you buy an item, you really expect them to send what has been requested.

After putting it under a magnifying glass the serial number starts with 08 rather than the required 13. So it will definitely be being returned (if I can).

Thanks for the heads-up. I had a similar experience buying a very good condition (almost new) PDA at a very good price. Unfortunately it was advertised as the Bluetooth model, when in fact it wasn't. So for its primary use as a cave surveying tool it is useless. Now I always check for the part number (in the PDA case this hidden under the back cover). I hope you get your money back .
