Cave Diving inspired theatrical experience!

Hello cavers!

Our ambient visual and audio experience takes you on a chilling cave diving expedition that goes wrong due to mind-bending supernatural forces. The show is currently in development and we would love to get feedback from those who actually frequent caves!

The first iteration of the experience previewed at Encounters Festival 2022 where it sold out all 128 dive slots in one weekend. We have since developed the experience and are excited to be part of Theatre Deli’s SHIFT+SPACE programme so audiences can test it out and help it move to the next stage of its life where we plan to take it on a tour to real caves all over the UK

Suopernatural eh! Reminds me of that spooky tale of cave divers having their fins tugged by an invisible diver behind them.

It is a fascinating story and I think it is in a CDG newsletter so perhaps another member can remember this eerie tale. All I can remember is the first diver through felt something tugging on his fin preventing him moving forward. I think the sump was quite straightforward. Eventually he seemed to get free coming out shaken then his buddy behind emerged having had a similar experience. They couldn't account for what happened. Of course Martyn Farr's first dive in Dan yr Ogof is up there with that if you read his account in The Great Caving Adventure although a different aspect of the supernatural.

Caves have their own individual character and some generate feelings of unease. Other's seem quite friendly. I am not the only person to notice this.

The Dive at Wax Cave is very much a fictional piece, but we're absolutely fascinated by personal accounts of the unexplained so if anyone has links to any of these stories then please do share with us
