Caving In The Parish Magazine

Autograph, please.
I have copies of his autograph. I have letters of his going back 60 years. A letter is something written on paper with a pen then put in a thing called an envelope with an address written on it and put in a post box (those red things you sometimes see by the road). By some miracle it then arrives at the recipients a few days later.

Oooh! That archive of Chipchase Letters could be worth a small fortune. Now small is anyone's guess.

What about the stamp? I recall there was a stamp, or at least something you had to lick to make it work. Or, am I just having flashbacks to tales of Jo Brand's 'lick my Mivvi'?

If you are canny you make the envelope look so inviting that the recipient is happy to pay the excess fee for letters without stamps. I have been dumb enough to do so.
