Cheap flashguns

I've been thinking of buying one or two cheap flahsguns (Neewer or Yongnuo) but every time I look on the Internet it directs me to Amazon, and I don't want to buy off them; does anybody know where else these flashguns can be obtained?

I use (loosely using that term - they mostly sit in a box) Godox flashes.

They're available through wex photo.

The other alternative to amazon is eBay - but most the time you're on long waiting times and gambling on the condition. At least Amazon gives you some level of security with it usually.

Take a few AA batteries with you and test before you buy. Or CEX shops, their stuff comes with a guarantee.

@Fulk do you already have triggers, if you intend to use them? Dependent on your camera make it's worth keeping in mind/budget - I recently failed to make Yongnuo RF602 mk1 work with a Panasonic M43 format camera.

They work fine on the flashes, but no go on the camera shoe. Upshot was that it's possible to modify the mk1 by resoldering wires to the correct pins, but for the sake of 35 quid I just bought a mk2 and it works fine with the dedicated TX switch.

However whilst reading about the mod I did see mention that the Canon version is the one to get, Nikon being a too-loose fit on non-Nikon hotshoes. As I say though, only something I read.

Good advice, phizz; I once bought a flashgun that appeared to be in very good condtition form a guy on a market stall for ?10. When I got it home it wouldn't work, so more in hope than expectation I wrote to 'The guy who sells photographic equipment at ****** Market, *****, *****shire'. To my surprise, I received a ?10-note in the post a day or two later.
