I should be heading over to Cherrytree hole one evening this week, with the hope of accessing aurora hall and the far north, the last time i was there water levels were pretty damn high and there didn't seem to be any visible duck(breakdown chamber(south inlet). Anyone passed this duck? Any info would be most appreciated, cheers SI

Not much to tell, if by duck you mean the low wet bedding before Aurora Hall. The caving thereafter is all fairly straight forward. Mind you, I have never found Cherry Tree Hole a very inspiring place ...

Let us know how you get on. It's on my list of trips to do after work.

I passed the water logged bedding plane some weeks ago...it's very short maybe 10-15 metres long consisting of two lowerings of the roof with a raised section inbetween....the terrain beyond is varied and quite challenging, there's an abundance(tonnes!) of straws and a few roof grottos(there's an old cpc sign in one warning folk to becarefull around formations)...my favourite by far was the final crawl to the terminal sump, it's not as glutinously muddy as the guide book states(mainly sand and shingle) but the sections where it was triangular shaped really blew my mind...overall a fantastic trip!.
