I was informed of a collapse near my home so my dog and i went for a look. It's fairly big, a couple of metres deep and three wide. I was told there was a stream in it, but there wasn't today, although I could see there had been. The bedrock is Blue Lias, so it's not impossible there's something there and the is carboniferous limestone down there somewhere. However, when a farmer dug a deep hole not far away the rock was very thinly bedded and broken up, so I wouldn't think there's much potential, but what do I know? This post is really just for completion and to go in the next edition of Tav's book.
