Evidently it's now possible to access digital copies of the Craven Herald going back to 1853.
In the past, when publishing caving discoveries was beyond the resources of most clubs, they would often be reported in this newspaper. It's still referred to by some more senior folk as the "Caving Herald". So it's potentially a valuable resource for researching caving history.
