CRO historical incident reports

Does anyone else get really confused by these? Takes a few minutes to work out I'm reading an account of a 1934 rescue.

Why do CRO post these?

Why do CRO post these?

I think they've only posted the one, unless I've missed some? And it was the rescue that led to the creation of CRO, rather than a CRO rescue?

Numbered 00 on their website, but 01 on Facebook, it does then say 1934...

This is the report, and yes I was confused too for a while:

INCIDENT 00/1934. OCTOBER 13th SAT 19.15 hrs. GINGLING HOLE, FOUNTAINS FELL, MALHAM MOOR, WEST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE. – The Cave Rescue Organisation

There was a thread about this recently:

There is a CRO web page for Historical Incident Reports, going back to 1997 which I find useful occasionally:

Having the 1934 item in line with current incidents does give it a good viewing I suppose, and helps to put into perspective the enormous effort the rescue must have taken.
