Obviously no-one from this forum has read it yet cos if they had there would be masses of feedback about you-know-what.

Steady improvement on the CCC stuff, have moved from one arbitrary age limit to another, albeit lower, limit.

I thank those who have spent countless hours trying to demonstrate how much of a nonsense the old age limit was, despite the mud and hassle flung in their direction.

The wording provided by natural England seems to imply that part of the reasoning behind the existence of an age limit is to prevent over-excitable kids pointing lights at bats, but my (granted anecdotal) experience is that generally youngsters are a lot more likely to listen to gentle instruction about how to look after bats than say, adult cave photographers.

On the note of bats and photography, I wonder how the possession of a natural England photography license affects how much the bats are actually disturbed?

Presumably they are restrictive enough about how many licences are issued that the bats are not disturbed too often, or for too long. Albeit they are probably just as disturbed at the time

Pretty much Pete. & It also gives them a record of when it may become a problem, because currently they have no idea.
