Damaged fixed rope. Namread Aven.

Namread Aven insitu rope whilst descending desheathed today. Obviously don’t think it’s often used but still so it’s known. It’s isolated in a knot.

Was the sump open though?

If anyone wants help carrying a drill through to rebolt that pitch, I'll happily help carry for you.

Any replacement rope is sort of a false economy when it's bolted like it is with those thought provoking bits. The SRT rope was already isolating a previous wear point when I was there last year.

Sump was not open unfortunately.
