Digging Equipment - CHECC Donations

Hello! We are looking to try and sort some prizes for CHECC this November, and a big thing I have been trying to find sponsorship with is digging materials for students. This would be for a prize for a digging-related competition. Student unions have our societies on a tight budget, so it can be difficult for keen university cavers to start developing promising digs they have found.

I was wondering if any clubs, groups, or individuals have any usable old or spare digging materials around that they would be willing to part with to help with this? Please let me know if you do, or if you have any ideas - it would be a truly fantastic help!

A supply of rope is a must for digging. Most caving clubs have a rolling programme of replacement of SRT rope. You can often scrouge the cast off rope for digging. A good start for arranging a supply is to ask on this very forum!

I can help with old rope - some climbing (11 and 9 mm) and caving. With the proviso that it is all old and NOT to be used for climbing or caving.
