Distox and active sync

if you've just got you're hands on a Distox it's worth noting that if you buy a cheap PDA from ebay :-[ and it comes with a version of active sync older than 4.0 you should download the latest version other wise you'll struggle to load the .net framework required to run pocketTopo. If you think this is all geek speak, you should try going through what i've just been through, (locking horns with uber geeks over what was in fact a quite simple problem) off now to calibrate a distox  :D

Got my Disto A3 awaiting extra board - dreading the teething problems ahead, calibration, getting connection etc . Might call on your experience!!

Ditto.
I was wondering about trying to organise a DistoX workshop? Maybe at Hidden Earth if not before summer exped season. This would need some selfless DistoX expert to give up their time...  :halo:

I'd think before the summer exped seasons begins would be good, but i'm not volunteering...

I was thinking the same thing Dave. Well actually I was thinking of giving a talk on the technology and experiences using it, but I could probably run a workshop if that was what was wanted. At Hidden Earth that is. I won't have time before the Summer.

Count me in for that Footleg.

Just ordered the board, will be test running it in Matienzo at summer, if there's any cave out there to survey!
