Plan to visit Ireland next week and read about Doolin River Cave through trip in selected caves of Britain & Ireland I understand there was a rock fall in 2018 that may have blocked the passage ?
Is it still possible and is there access, thanks
As a reminder, the best place to check for access or safety issues relating to caving in Ireland is on the SUI's website Conservation & Access page.
The thing to be aware of at the Fisherstreet end of the system is that the tree that was the traditional rig point is no longer an option. So I'd consider bringing a longer rope and some rope protectors. I've not been down in Clare recently so only going off what I've read. You might consider reaching out to the local cavers for more info.
