Dr. John Frankland

I saw a post on Facebook by a US caver stating that John Frankland had passed away but there is nothing anywhere else on an internet search. Apart from meeting him on several occasions he assisted me in testing the Iran '77 team for histoplasmosis before our departure. Is this a false report?

I believe it is true (although I never knew him personally) as he was a life member of CRO so an email went round.

Yes, I am afraid it is true. He died on the 15th July.

I enjoy dipping in to it before revisiting some of the locations. However, replication of Colin Boothroyds skin removal technique to fit a squeeze is not on my to do list!
