Super write-up. That free dive sounds awful and we've done a few over this past year. You never quite get over the feeling that it could go wrong next time. Reminds me when I did a similar thing missing an airbell and diving too far off to one side. A few expletives were heard on exit! Our sump was full of washed in effluent - rather than a bit of p***.

Ah thank you. I think it sounds worse because I made a mess of it. But you are right it does highlight how wrong you can get it
