Elbow pads

Can anyone recommend elbow pads that don't end up round your wrists if you are slim? I have warmbac ones which don't stay in position at all.. If recommending adjustable ones is it possible to get the velcro pretty tight and does the velcro have to be sandwiched (I had ones like this before where you had to sandwich 3 bits which was awkward...)
Thanks!

Warmbac - will make you small size pull-on ones if you ask. This is what I buy and the same for knee-pads.

Warmbac also do adjustable elbow pads that instead of having the sandwich configuration of velcro (two strips attached to one side and one to the other), they have one long strip that goes through the buckle on the other side and folds back on itself. To make these easier to thread through, fold the end of the velcro two or three times and stitch such that the end never pops out of the buckle.
Just measured mine and the smallest circumference they adjust down to is about 28cm (11" in old money) on the larger end (yes there is a correct orientation of the elbow pad :)). That still sounds quite large but equates to a diameter of 9cm.

Warmbac will also make furry suits with inclusive elbow and knee pads sewn in. These are brilliant and what I wear all the time.

My big grumble with the Warmbac pull-ons is that the stitching fails long before the neoprene does, so I've got a couple of pairs I can't use now, and no way of fixing them. I tried it with the Speedy Stitcher, but it was the opposite of speedy, and gave up after 15 mins.

I coat the stitching with Aquasure which protects it from wear. Even if the stitching is worn through, Aquasure is pretty good at holding the pad together. I've recently discovered Aquasure SR, the SR meaning Shoe Repair and supposed to be more hardwearing. I put some on the soles of a pair of sandals which I've now been using for a month without noticeable deterioration. Seeing how well it's standing up, I've resurfaced my kneepads with it but not been caving since to try them.

I've found the stitching can be repaired by using a large needle and thread. And using the old holes to sew through and then coating with evostick impact glue afterwards. It's definitely not a long term repair but I've found it can get 6 months extra out of my warmbac knee pads.

Now that is very tempting! Might have to consider that when mine needs retiring.
