Clydach Gorge Access to Carno Adit is no longer available.
I don't think a book was ever written about Carno Adit and it's associated cave system. If there was and anyone knows what it was called and the author, I would be interested to know so that I can see if I can find a copy.
The other alternative is the Pwll Du tunnel. This was opened back up a few years ago but sealed again as it is collapsed and dangerous although not sure a book was ever published about it. The only other one I can think of is the Waun Felen and Tranch iron mine that was explored and surveyed by Brynmawr Caving Club members when it was broken into by roadworks and a book about it published by Bill Gascoine.  Access is still possible but finding a key can be difficult and bad air at the end makes it dangerous. It also isn't very close to Llangattock.
I can't off the top of my head think of any others.

No, I'm afraid definitely Carno Adit, I think it was in an old version of the Caves of South wales. or else, I spotted it somewhere.

Or was it in the Underground wales book? Anyway, definitely Carno.

we are trying to ascertain the past popularity of our quarries for an upcoming book and get an idea of how many people and groups visited .

There is no "WE", that is James Harrison, acting on his own, trolling for info so he can persecute/intimidate/bully any past visitors despite his mother drawing a line under what happened in the past. James has mental health issues and believes he has a right to bully and intimidate people who used the land when he did not own it.
Nobody would buy a book when 90% of the info james is asking for is already in the public domain, but he is too up himself to realise this.
Please do not bother yourselves with his insane ramblings and just treat him with the contempt he deserves.

HITR at the time of posting was asked by one of the owners, my mother, to look into things.
People will be overjoyed to hear HITR has become another owner... So we now have 3Harrisons as owners not two as before.
The banning was the only solution given the provocation, trespass and general nuisance.
CUT....
So generally, if something ain't right, we'll plug away till we get it right.....
CUT..

I looked into things for my mother and they were dealt with in full.
banning access was to stop someone else profiting from trips when the owners had no knowledge of it. it was NOT done for any other reason, nothing to do with people visiting the land who were not paying, nothing to do with trespassers, and the people who were visiting were not a nuisance, they actually helped to keep the yobs and hoodlums away by having a presence there.

"WE" do not plug away, the rest of the family knows when to draw a line under things and move on. Only a madman would continue to flog a dead horse under the pretence of wanting to write a book.
