Some excellent work just before Christmas by a few of our team to replace damaged fencing at Sweetwater Hole (near Meregill):
Sweetwater Hole fencing
Repairs made to fencing at Sweetwater Hole, to make the site safer for cattle grazing, with benefits for floral diversity of the limestone pavements.
This more sturdy fence was needed due to the recent change to cattle (rather than sheep) grazing in this area, which aims to restore the floral diversity of the nearby limestone pavements. It has been a pleasure to partner with the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, and thanks to Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust for funding.
Thank you to Andrew and Pete for their efforts on such a cold day.
