Few old press clippings

Detached to Bentham today at work and came across a few old press clippings from cave rescue jobs they'd attended. I wonder if any of the participants are still caving today? Nice pic of Watto...

Let's hope something similar doesn't happen in the Dales tomorrow, if we do cop for any of those big thundery showers. The fells are baked hard so it'd all run off pretty fast.

Bottom left article makes reference to Deluge pot? I presume it means Diccan pot with a deluge going through it. Or is that a cave I have just not heard of.

Both the bottom two articles refer to five cavers from Sheffield, and so are likely to relate to the same incident. The article on the right refers to "Out Sleet Fell", so presumably the article on the left is referring to Deluge Pot in Out Sleets Beck Pot.

Looks like the Daily Star report is the odd one out. Both rescued groups had 5 people, but the Diccan Pot report had 5 Venture Scouts from Derby, whereas the Deluge Pot in the bottom two clippings had 5  people from Sheffield. One of these was Michelle Riley, who is being shown in the second pic. Top Pic doesn't look like Diccan - could it conceivably be Out sleets Beck?

Out sleets pot would make sense with Wotto being in one of pictures as that cave is in UWFRA area.

Seems just coincidence to me. 5 Scouts out of Diccan 'via an adjoining cave'....Alum

Rest 5 'experienced' in Out sleets Beck pot.

As at said.....
