Fountains Fell Master Cave

Some time ago there was news of exciting developments under Fountains Fell with the discovery of what appeared to be the Fountains Fell Master Cave beyond the Gingling Hole sump, but I've heard nothing about this for . . . well, a few years (or so it seems). Has exploration there stopped, or is it still going on?I seem to recall that there was some talk of a potential dry entrance, although I think that it was rather speculative. Does anybody know anything about this cave?

There's quite a lot of information published in the last several years of CDG Newsletters. These cover most of what's happened since the 2015 Northern Sump Index. To my knowledge there's not a non diving way in yet.

AFAIK access is by diving only and not an easy trip at that. Silverdale is a long term dig hoping to break in beyond the sumps. It is still being worked regularly I believe.

The dive platform at the bottom of the big pitch is very impressive,
Does anyone know what the thick plastic pipe going into the sump is for?
