I was thinking of visiting via small mammal pot on Friday 21st, but see that Ian has said routes will only 'possibly' be rigged on 21st. Is it likely to be rigged still please?

Thanks! We are planning to just go onwards to the main gaping gill chamber, so probably not

“It’s a wrap”

The CPC 2026 Winch Meet is now over.

We have had an incredibly successful meet. The weather has been mainly kind to us. Lots of happy members of the public have experienced the delights of the main chamber.

We have had 68 visiting cavers enjoying various trips. Stream Passage Pot was the clear favourite with approximately 40 visits, Bar Pot was the next with half the amount.

Special “shout out” to members of Dusa who after a Stream - Marilyn trip decided on a Dihedral “Bounce Trip”.
They probably just need to work on their navigation skills as they ended up in the “Social tent” afterwards. We ensured they were well hydrated before their departure .

We also hosted the BBC “One Show” who were filming a short feature for the show to be aired soon. (Personally don’t think ANYONE needs to watch it )

We now hand over to the BPC who without doubt run the 2nd best GG winch meet in the world
