Including: Into the Echo Chamber, Tim Allen reports on another magnificent Yorkshire Dales find by the Space Miners....and: The Great Geoff Yeadon, undoubtedly one of the greats of the caving world. Following his death at the age of 75, Geoff Crossley, Martin Grass and Mick Nunwick pay tribute to him.
Nearly the season for that too, but looks like most dates for the year are already booked, so if you want to go, best book soon: https://rfdcc.free.nf/sites/caves/otter_hole/2025_weekends.htmOtter Hole over tide trip to the end of Tunnels Left

Certainly if you are quick!Otter Hole between tides trip to end of Tunnels Left?
Southern Streamway with a camping tacklebag, a scaffold board and a scaffold bar.
I remember that episode. He kept saying we were going round in circles. Certainly felt like it.Or a stretcher with a big bloke in it
Thankfully I didn't do that bit, but the bits I did do were hard enoufh
Rather spoils the trip. I remember once a party member insisted (and this was over the tides) on racing back to the sump only to have sit shivering for an hour before it opened.Certainly if you are quick!
Only been in Otter twice. One between tides, one over tide. On both we went to the end of Tunnels Left and both trips were excellent.Rather spoils the trip. I remember once a party member insisted (and this was over the tides) on racing back to the sump only to have sit shivering for an hour before it opened.
He was thinking of the journey backWow, he could've made an attempt to smile!![]()
This was taken in the 80's with Derrick Guy as the model. We are both still caving - just. This is at the far end of the cave where the streamway is.
My next trip in Otter was the much more recent rescue
How times fly when you are having fun. I remember the practice rescue before that when Sid Perou came along to assess the cave and I met a caving monk. That "recent" rescue was in 2003. Nearly 22 years ago!
