Help please finding a decent movie making app

Hi All, I need to convert a 10 min video taken on my phone into an 'audition' which will be uploaded to youtube and the link sent for assessment.

Here is a practice one:

Trouble is, using 'video maker' app, I couldn't work out how to add an intro or some closing wording (I want to thank my friend for all her help) Also i need to speed up about 30 seconds of the next film as I have to be as close to 10 mins as I can.

Can anyone please recommend a good movie making app that's straightforward to use? Or another way of doing it? Thanks so much.

I use videopad home edition. It's not free I'm afraid, but affordable. I find it very intuitive to use. Should add I'm not a serious film maker, just someone messing around with the odd bit poorly filmed home footage!

Thanks, I dont mind paying but don't want to pay then find it's too blummin complicated to use.

If I remember correctly you can download a free copy to have a play with, but it won't let you save, rendering the program fairly useless for anything other than playing until you purchase a license. I use Photopad and Photostage which are made by the same company. I'm sure others will have different ideas for you, but I've found all three programs easy to use for basic and occasional home requirements.

Hi, I don't know much about Windows, however, if in the Apple ecosystem the free app iMovie is actually pretty good for what it is. A while back I shared a stage with someone very much associated with somewhere that used to end in 'Land' before it fell off a cliff a good few years ago. Anyway the showreel I presented at the event was actually quickly done in iMovie and went down well with the audience.
