Help wanted in Peak Cavern next Thursday please :-)

A few of us diving types are hoping to get some film footage in Peak Cavern next Thursday - apologies for it being midweek but it is the only day we have.... :thumbsdown:
The idea is to get some footage in Buxton Water sump and Ink sump. We'd really appreciate some help inbetween sumps shifting the camera equipment (it aint small) and lighting. Dry cavers would be most useful if they fancied a trip and if there are any divers who can help out too, please drop me a line. So far Rich Walker, myself and Tony Seddon are diving - but the camera equipment needs extra hands.
I've spoken to Jim Lister who will arrange access etc. The footage may be used for some film project about caves in the Peak. Rich was responsible for the Wookey footage in Steve Sharps's Hidden Earth opening AV  , so if he can do a good job like that, he will. We also want to get some footage of Dooms Retreat etc.
I think JNC is sniffing at coming (pleeeease John....just this once?? come out to play? You know you want to...... ) and it would be a good idea for Derbyshire Section trainees to do some stuff too :idea:.

NP. Getting a team together on a Thursday with a weeks notice is always going to be a struggle. My usual suspect midweekers are based down south
We won't have enough hands to carry the filming equipment now so we'll go for a dive and see what we can do otherwise. Apparently there is some scaffold which needs shifting through Ink sump......

Henry from SUSS is helping us out now and Tony Seddon is confirmed so filming is back on 

We can always do with an extra pair of hands though to get some really good footage, so there is still time if anyone is around who thinks they can help out. Meet 09.30 @ TSG.

Woo hoo ! One more bod coming out to play - looks like we have a full compliment to help get some really nice stuff. Rich is firing up the camera as I speak - with the usual huffing and puffing that goes with it  :

We got some lovely footage of Buxton Water sump, some nice fairy-lit film of main streamway and the watery bits on the approach to Ink sump. Rich got some nice stuff in Ink sump until one of his regs started acting up and he was forced home. So we didn't quite get to Dooms retreat but all involved appeared keen for a re-match - next time the camera can go straight to Ink sump. I'll pop a post up here next time we are in town. It seems that some footage of these places is quite sought after, so we will try our utmost to do it justice and get as much as we can.
