Help With Finding A Caving Relative

I'm Sam, an ULSA member. I've got a great uncle (Tony Brooke) from Ossett who was apparently a caver around Yorkshire and I wanted to see if I could find out more about him. He was likely active in the 1960s/1970s but I'm afraid I don't have detailed information other than that, and the BCA Archive hasn't turned up anything on their member lists. I don't know much about his life other than that he worked as a customs officer in Scotland at some point and died quite young in an accident in Mallorca.

It's a long shot but does that name ring a bell for anyone?

Do you have any idea if he was a member of any clubs?
It's likely that he was a member of a Yorkshire club but my grandparents wouldn't know which one, and when I asked the BCA library to look at membership lists they couldn't find anything.

Hm; I'm fairly familiar with present and former lists of members both of the Craven Pothole Club and the Northern Pennine Club and Tony Brooke's name isn't familiar. So that's two of the main Dales clubs probably ruled out. Maybe other folk on here who are in the bigger clubs to have a look at their lists of former menmbers?

I checked the BPC's club history published in 2020, which has an exhaustive section on members and can't find your Tony's name.

Problem is that that period plus the 1980s are particularly poorly represented online, plus back then there were a lot more clubs that no longer exist today
