We've been trading since 1977 and next year will be our 50th anniversary.
The cafĆ© has been part of that for a long time, running quietly in the background for years, and we don't think it always gets the credit it deserves as a genuine community hub. ā But we need to be straight with you: the cafĆ© is under real pressure, and weāre not sure of the best path forward.....

As close as my phone would allow me to take. TSG 6-monthly inspections completed this week. The above Beal is 9 years old and still okay to use (and remarkably still bends!). We have a very good rope washer and high water pressure in Castleton. Short lengths seem to last a lot longer than our long ropes.
Some 3 year old Gleistein 9mm was removed from service this week due to glazing probably from fast abseiling without wetting it before use
