I once walked to Coventosa (not from Bracknell) in eleven year old trainers, I had bought in Malaya,
got to the cave mouth to find I had forgotten my wellies, so did the cave in those very old trainers,
no problem.
See, proper old school, got to get your money's worth out of kit.

I went down the Berger several times in baseball boots as my wellies went to the bourne gorge for a weeks rockclimbing with the friends I traveled down with....

Thanks Mike, that's a good one, thought actually one I haven't seen before. The one I was thinking of is a caving version and someone has forgotten their wellies - anyone good at sleuthing things out that can find it?
