THERE was a large-scale emergency call-out to a cave at Selside yesterday afternoon (Thursday) after a person was said to have been injured underground.
The Cave Rescue Organisation, police, fire and ambulance and military services were in attendance. (my emphasis)

The ash trees around the main shaft, having been condemned due to ash dieback, must have made finding belays for the "English Reeve" more difficult.
