Information Request

I am a Mining Engineer who spent his whole career (30+ years) based in Johannesburg, SA working in the global mining industry and have recently returned to live in the UK. When I was at the Camborne School of Mines in the early to mid 80's I used to enjoy exploring old tin/copper mine adits in Cornwall. I would like to take up this passtime again. I'm not having much success in sourcing information/documentation on the subject. Like where are the open explorable adits? Are there any local groups doing this sort of thing? Can anyone out there assist in pointing me in the right direction? Many thanks.
