Issue with Fenix headbands and finding a replacement

Hi,

Has anyone else had an issue with the headbands that come with Fenix head torches becoming unattached?

The strap slides out between the gap on the adjustable connector (see image) too easily. I've particularly noticed it when they get wet.

Does anyone have any recommendations on how to prevent this or for better replacements for the band?

I tried gluing a bit of plastic over the gap, but it didn't last. Though maybe I need a better glue.

Thanks,
Mark

Have you tried re-threading it to put the end clasp thing on the inside of the strap? Against your head/helmet. I haven’t got one here to test it but I reckon the friction of being on the inside will lower the load on the clasp itself.

I got the steps to the setting I need for it to fit to my helmet and then covered it all in a lot of electrical tape and it has worked well. Alternatively MyFenix sells replacement headbands
