Very good of Spanset to offer the job direct to a caving/mining audience I thought.  It's not my thing but it might just appeal to someone on here.

I also understand that putting your salary history on the table is not unusual.  Apparently it helps a company and applicant set the right sort of balance in any offer that is made.

See where your coming from but being both an employee and employer in my life its usually done to see how little a company can get away with paying, its a bit like the words " competitive rates of pay " and we all know what that means , pretty much the same .  ;)

Fair enough. If they are supplying a salary guide, then if they ask for salary history, both parties have information where they can strike a balance.

Quite an interesting job, and the employer does not ask for many skills. You can get a basic knowledge of SQL in a month of active study. I studied IT at home for a while, so I know a little about the subject, but I don't have any implemented projects. I studied IT as a hobby, and my main job is in marketing. Marketing today is closely related to IT because it's much easier to gather information in an automated way. Therefore I often ask for help from a good IT company. Improving the workflow increases the efficiency of the department.
That's pretty brazen

What's your fav cave btw
