Unless this is just more smoke and mirrors bluster from the 'land of the free', could this part of the latest tranche of visa restrictions to entry into the USA, impact on certain members of this forum?

They'll be burning witches next. It's only a guess, but my feeling is the US 'deep state' will soon have to dispose of the Trump. Their international reputation is tanking, and it's quite possible their tourism industry could start to collapse as a result of understandable concerns about visiting a potentially dangerous country. Most serious allies are reviewing their association, as they must. The whole world is watching - or laughing, depending on who it is.

Exactly. Over the last week FIFA has just proved to the world that it's essentially now just a scam, is corrupt to the core, and any association with the US government now will sink their (largely imaginary) reputation for 'fair play' forever. I sincerely hope the entire sorry affair collapses around their ears. A shame for the fans if it does happen, but hey, they're the ones paying good money every week to keep these chumps in charge - it's up to them to sort this out now.

I guess that means I also don't get to visit the US any more - at least until this bunch have left the building.

Proposed that part of condition for access to US is that you must submit content of everything you've posted or accessed online in the past five years; could be awkward for some Not sure how this will be managed at the customs and immigration desks when you pitch up off the plane. Could prove entertaining to watch though.

Dream on. Trump and his acolytes now are the deep state. In his first term, we used to be able to laugh at his comic antics. No more - his second term is a bona-fide fascist regime. I know this isn't the platform for political discussion, but I think anyone in the reality-based community would be mad to go to the US while this lasts.
