Manchester Climbing Centre Closed Down

[tdobson]

Hey y'all,

Just wanted to share that Manchester Climbing Centre (also known as Parthian Climbing Manchester) has abruptly closed its doors.

I'd say the chances of it reopening as a climbing centre are slim.

I'm pretty sad about it tbh. I have many memories of that place.

Not that it's entirely unjustified, but it can all be sad as well.

I think we'll see a few changes in times ahead. The new place in Wythenshawe is taking a lot of customers at the moment, and I am not sure what other centers can do without investing a lot of money... Even then, this new center has a lot of floor space, and seems to be the hip place to be!

"Piano match" or could just swap left/right?

all the English counties owned Mountain Centres are dropping like flies in North Wales as well. Blue Peris closure announced this week.
