Masson Lees Quarry Clearup Day

As many of you know, Masson Lees Quarry was recently sold and bought by caver-friendly, climber-friendly landowners who are planning to add a carpark to assist with enjoyment of the quarry.

They have a facebook page, and they're relying on the community to support them through a gofundme.

They also recently shared that they're having a maintenance day to help look after the quarry on the 24th and 25th.

Given the significance of the land to cavers - and the entrances contained within the land, it'd be great to have a good caver presence there to help let them know the support for what they're doing.

Hi All,
We are planning another maintenance day at the quarry. We had a great group turn up and help out last time and would love to meet more of you down there again.
We’re looking for a few willing helpers to assist with grounds maintenance and vegetation management at Masson Lees Quarry on Sunday 24th & Monday 25th August. It’s mostly practical outdoor work – clearing paths to new routes, managing overgrowth, and helping keep the site accessible and safe. Please comment or message the page if you are interested.

Location: Masson Lees Quarry, Matlock
If you enjoy being outside and don’t mind getting your hands dirty, we’d love your help.
Bring gloves, sturdy footwear, and any tools you like using (we’ll have some to share too). Some drinks and snacks will be provided – maybe even a campfire lunch if the weather’s kind.
