Meanwhile near Lincoln

Do we know where (other than near Lincoln)?

Good spot... I've not seen anything reported locally. I'll share with our members, highly likely that some will be interested/know where this could be. There is a shallow bed of limestone around Lincoln with a couple of very dodgy mines which were supposedly worked at recently as the 1930's.

As it was posted by Aubourn Farming I guess somewhere near Aubourn. It also states it was a beet field, a good chance it would be sugar beet as the sugar factory is only 9 miles away. I work for British Sugar so I'll ask the Ag dept if they have any info.

Lincolnshire Limestone
Does anyone know of any caves in the Lincolnshire limestone? Having looked at the BGS 50k data there is a broken band of limestone all the way from Scunthorpe to Stamford. Yet I can't find any reference to any caves in that area the closest is around Worksop but that is in a separate band to...
